NEPSE increased by 161.82 points in a week

This week NEPSE increased by 161.82 points. After Vishnu Paudel took charge as the finance minister, NEPSE, which has been in a downward trend, has seen an increase of 8.67 percent within a week.

NEPSE, which opened at 1867.21 points on Monday, rose 8.67 percent to 2029.03 points on Thursday. This week, Sunday is a Christmas holiday, so the market is open only for 4 trading days. On all three days except Wednesday, the market increased by 50 points and on Wednesday there was a correction of 12 points.

Along with the increase in the market, the wealth of stock investors also increased by 2 trillion 34 billion rupees this week. The total market capitalization of NEPSE increased from 27 trillion rupees to 29 trillion 34 billion rupees last week.

All the 13 sub-group indices traded this week have increased. Out of which finance increased the most by 17.39 percent, hydropower increased by 16.27 percent. investment by 12.86 percent, and non-life insurance by 12.16 percent. life insurance by 11.23 percent, and development bank by 10.30 percent. Business 7.81, hotel and tourism 7.02, banking 6.96, manufacturing 6.33, microfinance 5.70, and mutual fund increased by 4.10 percent. This week, the index of other sub-groups increased the least by 2.55 percent.

Along with NEPSE, the average daily transaction amount has increased by 177.23 percent to 2.75 billion rupees. Last week, the average daily amount of shares traded was 99 million rupees.
